The Word

 

Given that our platform is called ‘Gender*Language’ and seeing as both ‘gender’ and ‘language’ are recurring subjects in the discourse surrounding our community, it seems only fitting for our 2nd release to be ‘The Word’. 

Following relations of power in ‘Object, to Object, Objectified’, we’ll dive deeper into our ways of relating. To ourselves and to each other. Language, terminology, words — communication being, at once, what unifies us but also what can drive a wedge between us.

Do abstract formulations dictate our reality? 
Or — phrased differently — is what we talk about influenced by how we say it? 

Can we even find the right words to address individuals and situations?

Are we miscommunicating or do we just miss communication?

Do you only speak when spoken to


Or are you willing to start a conversation?
